Emily Quecke (Fall 2022)
Emily completed their undergraduate environmental engineering degree - cooperative program at the UofA in 2018. She then continued to complete her MSc in the air quality characterization and control group in the civil and environmental engineering department with co-supervision out of preventative medicine. Her thesis was on the topic of mask performance and use for the control of COVID-19 transmission, combining air quality engineering with exposure sciences. They are currently pursuing an interdisciplinary degree which merges environmental engineering with sociology and community-based research. Emily is passionate about water equity and access, air quality, exposure science, community health, social justice, and collaborative research. In their spare time Emily is a published poet and active community member on and off campus.

Jingya Pang (Winter 2025)
Jingya Pang completed her MSc in Environmental Engineering at the University of Alberta in Fall 2024 and finished her undergraduate in Environmental Science at Xi'an Jiaotong University, China (2022). Her interest is focused on the potential and efficiency of novel adsorbents in reducing the hazardous effects of municipal wastewater on aquatic environment. Jingya will continue her PhD at the University of Waterloo working on Calcined Bauxite Residue as a potential wastewater treatment option. In her spare time, Jingya likes to workout and watch science fiction movies.
